Find below information on the new MoU signed between INQAAHE and RIACES. 

INQAAHE and RIACES (Red Iberoamericana para el Aseguramiento de la Calidad en la Educación Superior) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalize their collaboration to work towards the excellence of quality assurance in higher education. The Memorandum of Understanding pertains to declare RIACES as partner network of INQAAHE, to recognize their mutual interest in the quality of higher education and tertiary education institutions and to establish the objectives, parameters and resources for joint activities and mutual support. INQAAHE and RIACES will work in co-operation to enhance understanding of each other’s particular concerns and priorities, and to promote common activities at the regional and international levels.

Specific areas of cooperation:

• To recognize the evaluation conducted by RIACES as parallel to INQAAHE’s Recognition of Prior Reviews pathway, through a criteria mapping mechanism.
• To increase their respective membership.
• To engage in dissemination of the Second Global Study, particularly regarding the implementation of the survey, the dissemination and promotion of results in LAC and beyond.
• To develop capacity development activities such as bespoke workshops, and research activities related to quality assurance, in Latin America and the Caribbean and globally.
